SHIMOSATO

10/30

After we savored our Japanese breakfast at Kawayu Onsen Fujiya, we soaked one last time in our onsen bath before heading back to my brother's village. Masami's brother Ichiro and his wife Tocchan met up with us in Shingu to have a sushi lunch at Tatsu Sushi, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant operated by an elderly couple (one sushi master and his wife). We did a chef's special, and it was fantastic and memorable! Ichiro spoiled us with three large Japanese lobsters called ise-ebi (about the size of the lobster but look like a supersized shrimp) for our last meal in his village.

We are back at Hanairodori no Yado for the night.
