Ise is a city in Mie Prefecture, known for Ise Jingu Grand Shrine and Husband-and-Wife rocks in the ocean, which is located within the shrine housing the happiness deity. We found out from our taxi driver about an aquarium nearby to visit. This is also the area Mikimoto Pearls are harvested by the women who dive without a scuba gear. It was rainy today, so we decided not to tour the Ise Jingu Grand Shrine and chill from the past busy days in Osaka. We stayed at a modest hotel, Tokyo Inn Ise Matsusaka Ekimae, right by Matsusaka Station.
